Zesty, bright, and naturally sweetened — this clean cranberry sauce brings a pop of citrus and a hint of ginger heat that wakes up your whole plate. Think classic holiday flavor with a glow-up and a little sass.
In a medium saucepan, combine orange juice, water, maple syrup (or honey), and grated ginger. Bring to a gentle simmer.
Add cranberries and cook over medium heat for 10–12 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the berries burst and the sauce thickens.
Stir in orange zest and a pinch of sea salt. Taste and adjust sweetness if needed.
Let cool — it’ll thicken more as it sits. Serve warm, chilled, or straight off the spoon.
Notes
• Add a dash of cinnamon or clove for a spiced version. • Stir into Greek yogurt or oatmeal for a holiday breakfast twist. • Pairs perfectly with The Leftover Turkey Melt sandwich.
